EDIT: YES I know Toph can bend metal. Please read the entire description. This is based on the five Chinese elements.

Yeah, I've probably just broken some sacred Avatar Law of OC Creation. "Thou shall not create non-canon elemental nations!"*bows head in shame* Moving on! :D

Hah! Introducing two new elements: Metal and Wood, which I kindda missed so I decided to make the two new nations but try to fit it in the Avatar world senario. Anyway, here's Loh Gam from the Metal Empire and Chi of the Wood People... Persons. Both of them have two different backgrounds:
1) Avatar-verse background that is super complex and uber cracktastic wherein it would take many, many more pages to tell the whole story and your brain would explode. I'll just say however, that Chi in Background A is actually from Foggy Swamp Tribe and Loh Gam from the Fire Nation :XD:

2) AU Avatar-verse background, in which Metal and Wood are actual elements and thus individual nations. Metal is the element of knowledge and its people are naturally inquisitive and industrious. They also wear mostly white/gray with lots of metal gloves and armor. Wood is the element of Order and its people strive to maintain balance and serenity. They wear brown and animal skins. :D (Yes I do have nothing better to do then make up AU Avatar nations ^^;)

Poor Aang, being harassed by curious Metalbender. Air isn't an element in some cultures *cough*metalandwoodis*cough* so Loh Gam is surprised by Aang but totally unfazed with Katara, Zuko and Toph. Woot! Chi just thinks that Aang's glider is funny. Also, I refuse to dress Zuzu in green cause I think it causes him pain... (I think). Oh and Toph rules. :nod:

XD I made up an entire non-canonical past-verse...just for my Avatar OC's. It's nice to see another insane character creator!

OMG! Would you believe I was imagining those same elemental variations?!

I was trying to picture what might happen in Avatar if the series does so well they try to continue it after Aang defeats the Firelord. My thought was that the Avatar's long absence (100 years on ice) threw the natural balance so far out of whack that new benders started to appear. Wood and Metal were two of them. But I also pictured a new enemy in the form of a Shadow Bender: able to manipulate darkness as a weapon!

...and if you think you've over-thought things, don't get me started on my idea for an AU avatar story where Aang was killed 100 years ago, the Air Nomads have become the conquerors (like the ancient Mongols) and seek to kill each new Avatar until the cycle comes back around "rightfully" to them again.

Cool characters. Normally I'm opposed to people creating new bending elements to suit their wants, but you seem to make these two work. I especially like Chi's design.

lol That rocks! Yeah, I miss those elements, too, but I'm perfectly accepting of the four-element basis the Mike and Bryan gave us. I guess bounching two off two is easier than going for tying to fit five, and less complicated that having six.

Cool concepts, though. ^_^
